Resources for People of Color

People of Color (POC) is an umbrella term representing many racial and ethnic communities. While rates of suicide attempts and completions differ amongst POC groups, they share common experiences of historical and current discrimination and trauma. They also often have limited access to culturally appropriate and respectful behavioral healthcare that may impact suicide risk. Increasing access to appropriate and respectful healthcare and eliminating discrimination and prejudice will positively impact mental health disparities in these communities.
